30 Days of Crafting - Day 7

I am so happy to be back crafting.   And you know I love my Altenew products so I wanted to play with the 30 Days of Crafting challenge.... a daily prompt for making a project.

Day 7 - was Make a card using Altenew Keyhole system.  If you haven't seen this system... it's the easiest way to layer floral dies...matching up keyhole symbols.

I recently saw somewhere on YouTube someone who printed some images from PNGwing onto vellum.  For the life of me, I can't remember who it was!  Have download a couple of watercolour looking images and printed on some Catherine Pooler Heavy weight vellum.  Turned out beautifully!  I die cut the petals and with the aid of the keyhole system they went together so quickly.   I added some splatters by tapping a Posca gold paint pen to added a bit of texture.  My panel was inked with some pink Altenew ink and more of the Posca pen splatter before adding the flowers and leaves.   The sentiment is from Altenew Scripty Sentiments cut from gold card. I also made some little star embellishments were cut from the gold card using a die from Catherine Pooler's Tags, etc dies.   My matting layer is a very dark green for a bit of contrast.

I was thrilled how the printed vellum looked so printed a few more sheets for future use.

Easter Wishes

Had fun making this little card for my grandsons..... using some of the new Journalsay PET tapes I got a few weeks ago.

I die cut a mini slimline panel and used a background tape and then layered the mushrooms, basket and eggs and then added Peter Rabbit... which I had put onto some white card.    I printed out the sentiment from a free digital sheet from Uniquely Creative and fussy cut it.

I sent this off to the boys with a couple of little bunnies

I had added little blue ribbon bows around the neck after I took the photos.

Hoping they like these and their card.

Floating by to say..... at Die Cut Divas

I'm here to share my card for the last day at Die Cut Divas for our March Challenge - Critters.

I only have the one Sunny Studio critter stamp so it got used again .... together with another little Sunny Studio stamp set called Floating By.

I decided to combine my two stamp sets onto a Mini Slimline card.  I used a couple of dies from a Pink Fresh Studio Essential Slimline dies to cut my panel and matting layer.  I lightly ink blended the panel with some blue ink and a home made cloud stencil.   I stamped the balloons directly to the panel, and then stamped them and the little cow onto some white card and coloured with some metallic watercolour pens before die cutting them.  I added the sentiment - one from the Floating By set and one from the Miss Moo set.  I added the balloons directly over the stamping and added some 3D tape to the cow.

You still have till 9.00pm US Pacific time to join us with your critter projects.

Woodblock Wednesday - March 25

Finally got all the goodies back into my craft room, changed a few things around, purged some of my endless stash of papers... and had some play time.

I was ready to make a couple of Easter cards and sitting on top of the box of my woodblock stamps was a delightful Penny Black stamp.

It's called "Bunny Talk!"  - super cute.  I die cut a panel of Fabriano 160gm paper with a Gina K Master Layout 2 die and then die cut the ribbon scalloped edge die from Master Layout 18 from some gold card.  I cut it down the middle to get the both edges for the panel.  I used a mixture of Inktense Watercolor pencils and Altenew Woodless watercolour pencils to colour the image, together with some ink blending for the sky.  The little sentiment is from a Verve stamp set - Hoppy Easter.   Trimmed some pretty pink dotty paper to fit the card base and added some gold pen around the edge.

Happy to have been able to get into the craft room to play - and got a bit done.

Make a Wish.. Feminine card at Sweet Stampin' Challenge

I missed last month's challenge due to my craft room being packed away.   Well, finally got 95% back in the room with beautiful new carpet in, and some changes of storage..

While it was still packed away, I got an order from Journalsay..  Lots of new tapes and stickers.   So with the mojo still packed away!!!! - a simple sticker card today.

I took this gorgeous sticker and added it to some white card stock and used a Gina K Master layout 2 die to cut it and the layers out.  I added some soft green ink blending with Altenew Jade ink. Used some soft green card for the outer matting layer and made a 4.25" card base.   Added the Gina K sentiment stamped onto some white card and cut with the matching die.

Happy to head into the room and spend some time with my inks, stamps and new stickers.

Herd it's your birthday...

It's a Critter Challenge at Die Cut Divas this month and we want to see your critters,..real or imaginary ones - so fun!

Our sponsor is Sunny Studio and for my card today, I've used Miss Moo mini stamp and matching die.

I used a free clipart barn and printed onto some white card and then used a mini slimline die to cut it out.  I masked it off and added some Altenew ink blending for the background.  I stamped and die cut two cows and used some Spectrum Noir Aqua pens to add colour.  I stamped, coloured and die cut the little flowers too.  Just love the sentiment from this little set.   It's the cutest mini stamp and die set, so a super good price point.

Do come and join us with your Critters... just remember to use your die cut machine for something on your card.

Back with a card - White on white with a pop of colour...

Well the new carpet is in and looking stunning... but the craft room is still mostly in boxes in the garage.... doing it a few boxes of an evening after work!

But I do have a very CAS card I did for my NZ swap group.   It was my turn to choose a challenge - and white on white with an optional pop of colour was it.

I was able to find some white card within easy reach and in packing up I found some Penny Black Stickaroo stickers I've had for at least 10 years or more!   As my stamps were mostly all unreachable, I made use of the sticker.  I used my scor-pal and added some embossed lines.  Added the sticker in corner and stamped a little Hero Arts sentiment in some grey Altenew ink.

I'm adding this to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge -  Anything goes ... Optional "On the Farm"  My little Hedgie is in the farm garden watering can!

Hoping to get some more stuff in the crafty room soon so I can get back to crafting more regularly.  I've been doing some knitting - making some Izzy Dolls

These are just under 5.5" tall.  Teddy went to Florence and the Mermaid was Grace's request.   I'm doing some Easter Bunnies now.

Craft Roulette #256

Well I didn't think I'd be able to enter the Craft Roulette this week, as all my craft stuff is in boxes in my garage at the moment due to getting new carpet next week,

But my Altenew order arrived -I had won a gift voucher.   I purchased the Summer Wishes bundle - stamps, dies and stencils.

This is a BIG card -A7 (5" x 7") a bit daunting.  So I made my centre panel 4"x6" - I started by printing the Goovy sentiment in the Hippie colours and then did some ink blending in blue and sand.  I added some painted blue ink for the sea. This is my Tropical Island with my wooden chair sitting on the beach.  I stamped the chair and umbrella and die cut it out.  Used Alcohol markers to colour. Added a sentiment from the stamp set.  Backed onto some lime green card and added to the panel.

I'm also entering this into Crafting the Seasons challenge at Altenew  as I used Altenew inks for my blending. Celebrating Summer

I can't wait for the craft room to be back in action, so that I can get back into doing some serious crafting.
